FAQ: Time/Tuition Requirements

1)  Camp St. Christopher Kickoff Retreat (mandatory), August 25-27 (Seabrook Island)

*Approximately $150 per child.    *scholarships available

2)  The CSYO Schedule runs from August-May, with a break from
12/18/17 - 1/6/18

3) Rehearsals are only* on Sundays from 2-5 PM.

We do our best to coordinate between Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester county district calendars, as well as

private schools. We also do our best to coincide with, and avoid direct conflicts with with, the above

spring/fall/winter breaks, as well as AP exams, etc.

*There are three, possibly four exceptions to this.

4)  Immediately prior to our concerts, we have two extra rehearsals (3 or 4 yearly, see #5).

  • Saturday Concerts: Thursday & Friday nights (6-9 PM)
  • Sunday Concerts: Friday night (6-9 PM) & Saturday morning (9-Noon)

5)  The possibility of a Piccolo Spoleto Concert.

Based on previous years, a Piccolo Spoleto appearance (if accepted for 2018) would most likely be on

5/26/18. Friday night additional rehearsal would be added for this.

6)  Tuition  is $315 per school year, unless the family has more than one child in the orchestra, in

which case tuition is $270 per child, and is due by August 31. You may either pay online (3%

service fee will apply), or make checks payable to the CSYO. Bring payment to the first

      rehearsal, or mail to:

               1985 Riviera Dr.

               Suite 103-142

               Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

All tuition funds must be received by September 1, 2017. Checks should be annotated in lower left corner

with student’s name and purpose of the  payment.  A student will not be allowed to enroll if tuition remains

unpaid from the previous season.  Please do not give paperwork, checks and/or money to the

      conductor.

Auditions will be held on May 20th at the College of Charleston.
